What You Will Do
In this role, you will work a steady first shift (7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday) in a fast-paced environment. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Equipment Operation: Safely operating an Electric Pallet Jack (EPJ) to efficiently pick, wrap, and stage orders for shipment.
- Order Fulfillment: Reading incoming order requests, managing pick tickets, and utilizing RF scanning equipment to ensure 100% inventory accuracy.
- Safety & Maintenance: Inspecting and performing basic maintenance on your material handling equipment while actively identifying and reporting workplace safety hazards.
- Inventory Management: Consolidating partial pallets for incoming goods and staging items correctly for outgoing delivery.
What You Need to Succeed
Aerotek is looking for highly reliable, detail-oriented individuals who take workplace safety seriously. To qualify, you must possess:
- Experience: At least 1+ years of proven experience operating powered forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
- Physical Requirements: The ability to lift up to 50 pounds (with or without accommodation) and work in a facility that is not temperature-controlled.
- Core Skills: Basic math proficiency, strict attention to detail, and a strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations.
- Dress Code: You must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including mandatory steel-toe boots and solid work pants (no graphics).
