What You Will Do

At Procore, AI is not just an experiment; it is the core of their future strategy. As a Software Engineer II, you will take ownership of exciting AI features from the brainstorming phase all the way to production. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Building AI Agents: You will design and deliver end-to-end agentic features that solve real-world problems for construction professionals.
  • Writing Clean Code: You will write, maintain, and test codebases using TypeScript and Python with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborating Across Teams: You will work closely with the Product and Design teams to translate ambiguous customer needs into highly scalable AI solutions.
  • System Monitoring: You will troubleshoot and monitor live production systems to ensure maximum reliability and speed.

What You Need to Succeed

To thrive in this fast-paced AI division, Procore is looking for candidates with a strong technical background and a proactive mindset:

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience: At least 2+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Technical Stack: Deep proficiency in both TypeScript and Python.
  • AI Expertise: Proven experience developing and deploying Large Language Model (LLM) applications or AI agents in a real-world production environment.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently, and strong judgment when it comes to system scalability.
